Lo guys,
See your messages re BC2 server crashes.. Fkn annoying ain't it?
We have the same problem. I have had the server go from 30 players - to zero!! It's purely an EA issue. They didn't get the system right and the game browser for the game's release. I think it has also been more popular and busy than they envisaged.
So much so DICE have sent request to all the licenced server providers (Only properly EA licensed providers can run BF2 servers - it's why I had to use a different one from normal) that they are not to create any more BC2 servers until they can get these issues sorted out.
Rumpel must have been quick off the mark (like me  lol ) bc it was the day after it's UK release that these instructions were given.
EDIT: Thought I'd paste this message from our server provider so you can see what I mean.

DICE has requested that all server providers hold off on creating new servers while they work on an issue that is causing heavy server load due to the large number of servers currently running. A fix is in development to prevent the server browser from causing the heavy server load and new servers will be able to be setup and launched as soon as possible

Thanks for the info CenTauR, we have been reading about this problem and although EA tell us that they didn't realise they would have so much traffic, i hardly have any sympathy for them. Thier PR guy obviously didn't realise how popular BC2 was going to be, but to us gamers we knew (after the MW2 saga) that everyone was looking for a new game with a good multiplayer.
They have been working on this problem since the release date nearly 10 days ago (for Europe anyway) if they don't sort it out soon Bad Company 2 and DICE are going to gain a bad reputation with the ignorant "weekend gamers" all thanks to EA!

I don't understand either how they didn't realized how popular the game would be. Especially after the success of the Beta. At last they pushing it now and hopefully the server issues will be solved very soon.
But at last it seems that they are doing something and are trying to inform the community. Thats what I like very much in opposite to the incredible ignorance and bullshit coming from AV and Infinity Tard and their moron called community manager.
Yep I was quick  Ordered the server already before the official release date.
But looks like they still are working on the server conncetion issues because new server still are not available.
