Infinity Ward getting all sweaty under the collar with the news of a new modern combat type game? (Medal of Honor)
How do they suppose we test our mods that we make without being able to host a dedicated server?
How are people going to get hold of the mods, where will they be hosted?
Will we make them and then IW charge people for using them?
I have never played Modern Warfare 2 not even downloaded it illegally to play the rather short 6hr singleplayer simply because i have been left with a bad taste in my mouth and as such i couldn't give a rats ass about IW/Activision and thier so called mod tools. Activision can shove them up thier ass if they can manage to squeeze them past IW's tongue!
I Agree.... I am soo sick of Activision and IW.... they need to shove it like u said spoon. Its ridiculas how we dont have dedicated servers and it seems they are stubborn to produce us. They lost alot of sales due to this but they seem not to care. Nice emotions.....

i think they will ask another 20 bucks for this tool, lolage..., and mods probably can be used without dedicated servers, just when some person hosts a room, he can choose a mod and then the room/server runs that mod.
Yeh ok so you can host your own server and choose the mod you want to run, but how do the connecting players get your mod? What about if your mod contains lots of sound files and new textures, it's over 20mb in size, how do the connecting players get your mod without either hogging the hosts upload or spending all night downloading it from your server?
They could add redirect code similar to COD4 where the custom content is hosted on a separate FTP which has faster speeds, but still having to download mods and maps for a game that is built on a matchmaking system thats supposed to be quicker to get into a game seems slightly odd to me and defeating the object.

ok so i broke down and bough t COD MW 2..... I got a game for christmas that i didnt want so i traded it in for it...... I have yet to play it, its currently installing..... Does anyone else have it, maybe we can play online together
